After spending a year in Madagascar as an art teacher in an elementary school, I took part in a project to build toilets for the school. As a graphic designer, I was in charge of communication, the production of goodies and the design of a mural for the toilets. All the images used to share the story and process of the project were designed to focus on the positive aspects, not to accentuate sadness or convey messages of violence or poverty.
